Thursday – June 27, 2019

 

9AM – 5PM – Series One Training w/Jimmy Lewis (must be pre-registered for this class)

 

Noon:Gates Officially Open

 

12:30 – 4:30PM (Training Field) - Ladies only Dirt Bike SafetyClinic:

Arrive early and join DirtFIRST by MotoVentures and Dirt Bike Safety Training, LLC, for a roughly four-hour Ladies Only Clinic.  

 

4:45 – 5PM (Mainstage) - Weekend Preview:An overview of the weekend’s activities from Touratech-USA CEO, Paul Guillien.

 

5 – 6PM (Mainstage) – Rider Briefing: Presented by Touratech-USA Chief Riding Officer Iain Glynn.

 

6 – 7PM (SheADV Barn) – Women’s Meet & Mingle :  SheADV and Motobird invite you to come and talk ADV riding with ladies of all experience and skill levels. A fun way to start the weekend!

 

7PM - Ride Sign-Ups for Friday (Rally Tent)

 

7 – 8PM (Rider Tent) – GPS Uploading:Have the 2019 Rally GPS Tracks loaded into your GPS Unit. Have questions about utilizing your smart phone for navigation or other questions? GPS expert Laura Seaver will join the Touratech staff to get you ready for adventure.

 

7:15 – 8PM (Rally Vendor Area) - Moto Meet n Greet:Have a cold one, check out the group ride routes, talk to ride leaders and meet the people!

 

7:30 – 8:30PM (Rally Tent) – Modifying Your Bike with Jimmy Lewis: If anyone knows how to modify a motorcycle to get the most out of it, it’s Baja 1000 Champion, Jimmy Lewis. He swears this is not a commercial!!! Bring your questions.

 

7:30 – 9PM (SheADV Barn) – Navigating with Tracks – Tips and Tricks: Learn how to load and display GPS tracks, and optimize your Garmin GPS unit for navigating with tracks with GPS guru, Eric Archambault.

 

10PM Quiet Time:Get some sleep so you’re ready to rally!!

7:30- 7:45AM (SheADV Video Barn) – MotoYoga 

Join Touratech-USA’s Matt Lewis for a quick all-standing stretch routine to get your engine firing and prep your body for a day in the saddle. No experience, equipment or flexibility required.

 

7:30 – 10AM (Ride Tent) – GPS Uploading:

Learn the off-road skills every ADV rider needs before taking their motorcycle off the pavement.Space is limited.

Starts with the full off-road training and than takes the riding into the woods for the second half!Space is limited.

 

8:30 – 11AM Introduction Class w/Jimmy Lewis (must be pre-registered for this class)

 

9AM (Training Field) - Dirt Bike Safety Clinic and Ride

Join DirtFIRST by MotoVentures and Dirt Bike Safety Training, LLC, for training prior to a guided ride.  We will ride together through a series of skill building exercises to help unlock your potential!

 

9AM – 1PM (Training Field) – Women Riders! Master Your Bike, Have More Fun!

Join SheADV Off Road Instructors Shal Wilson and Steph Terrien for afun, 4-hour skill building session that will move you through your fears to mastering skills with finesse and confidence.

 

10-4PM BLACK FOREST FUNDURO TRACK OPEN

 

10 – 11AM (Rally Tent) – ADV First-Aid Basics

Bleeding, trauma, dehydration, hyperthermia and more. The ADV Medic team will talk about how to handle medical situations on the trail.

 

11– Noon (SheADV Video Barn)– Baja Racing from a Photographers POV

Come learn more about the fascinating world of Rally Racing from a photographers POV. Donni Reddington has been shooting for the Baja Rally race since 2016.  Come and share her experiences from last October!

 

12:15– 1:15PM (SheADV Video Barn)– From San Fran to Buenos Aires

Erwin Estigarribiarode his R1200GS to Buenos Aires from San Francisco. He planned his trip for several years and will share what worked and what didn't during his trip. Great presentation!

12:30-1:30PM (Rally Tent) – ADV Bike Suspension Set-Up 

Join Touratech’s Eric Archambault as he walks you through basic motorcycle suspension set-up to enable you to get the most from your ride. You’ll discuss the importance of setting sag and the other internal workings of your suspension.  Don’t miss this one.

 

1PM (Veterans Back 40 Tent) – Veterans Back 40 Adventure

David Petersen from BestRest Products knows all there is to know about motorcycle tire repairs.  He’s fixed more than his share, both tubed and tubeless.  

 

2:30PM (Magura Tent) – Magura Hymec Hydraulic Clutch Conversion: Benefits of a hydraulic clutch & tech tips.Learn the benefits of converting your cable clutch to a full hydraulic Hymec clutch system.  Learn how to mount and get valuable tech tips.  

 

2:45 – 3:45PM (SheADV Barn) – Come learn a higher level of training with ADV Cyber Training - Introducing New High Tech Training Software with instant Video Feedback.  By Dirt Bike Safety Training.

 

3-4PM (Thrive Tent):  – Meal Planning for the Journey 

 Using Freeze Dried food to pack lighter and go farther with less hassle and cost.  As well as combing freeze dried with fresh food (what to use freeze dried for and what to get fresh along the way.

 

3:30 – 4:30PM (Rally Tent) – Body Positioning Workshop 

Join rider education pro Heather Lewis as she teaches techniques and strategies focused on maintaining the most effective and efficient on-bike body position. Everyone can use this!

 

4 –5PM (SheADV Barn) Ontario to Alaska & Back at 18 Years Old

At age 18, Emily Roberts set off on a 3-month trip covering 23,000km. Riding endlessly winding roads, hitting deer, mushroom picking, 3 sets of tires, and getting very lost in the middle of nowhere.... and she made it to Alaska and back in time to start college. Don’t miss her story!!

 

4PM (Chameleon Tent ) – The Impact of ALS 

Rider, John Devine from Chameleon Adventure Graphics shares a short presentation on ALS Disease and how you can help. 

 

 

5:15 – 5:30PM (Challenge Course) – Jimmy Lewis Challenge Course Preview 

Baja 1000 champion and Dakar finisher Jimmy Lewis is back and gives a unique exhibition on the back of his KTM while mic’d up! You won’t believe what he can do on a big bike!

 

5:30 – 7PM (Challenge Course)  – Touratech Skills Challenge

Strap on your gear and hop on your bike and see if you can bring home a trophy. All skill levels are welcome!

Learn a common sense approach to mastering your bike on terrain you’ll encounter in the backcountry and become the rider you want to be.

Bring your own bike and join GS Trophy riders Jocelin Snow and Daniela Wild in a hands-on clinic focusing on up-righting a big bike, reaching the kick-stand, balancing and much more. Short people

Noon – 1PM (SheADV Barn) – ART & ADVENTURE: World Peace One Friendship at a Time  With a particular interest in places less traveled, Dionne Haroutunian roams the world on her motorcycle to create a web of human connections. She strongly believes that personal relationships have the power to counter fear, prejudice and intolerance. 

 

12:30 – 1:30PM (Rally Tent) – Brake System Workshop 

In the brake service workshop we'll learn about how hydraulic brakes work and practice hands on how to service them with Jesse Murphy from Truitt Motorcycle Education!

 

1-2PM (Seat Concepts Booth) – Seat Concepts Benefits

Join Caleb from Seat Concepts to discuss benefits of after market seats and the many options for each ADV Moto manufacturer. 

 

1:30– 2:30PM (SheADV Barn) – Southern California BDR (CABDR-South) - A Desert Rider's Paradise Backcountry Discovery Route ambassadors Kris and Nathan Fant conquered the challenging CABDR last year. Come and get the inside scoop on the route!

 

1:45– 2:45PM (Rally Tent) – Advanced Vision Workshop 

We all understand the importance of vision to good riding. In the Advanced vision workshop we'll move beyond looking where you want to go and learn how to use our eyes more efficiently and expertlywith Jesse Murphy from Truitt Motorcycle Education!

3-4PM (Rally Tent):  –Tire Changing 101

David Petersen from BestRest Products reveals the how’s and why’s of tire changing, and he’ll explain the physics on how a tire fits over the rim.  

 

4 – 5PM (SheADV Barn) – Jocelin Snow: Journey to the GS Trophy

Jocelin Snow shares her experiences qualifying for the 2018 GS Trophy in South Africa and then ultimately competing in Mongolia! She’ll discuss the impact the GS Trophy has made on her life!

 

 

5:45 – 6PM (Vendor Area)– Jimmy Lewis Slow Race Demo

Before you line up and go slow Baja 1000 Champion, Jimmy Lewis will give you some pointers.

 

6 – 7:15PM (Vendor Area)– Touratech Slow Race

Slow down and keep that foot off the ground. Can you walk away with some hardware? All skill levels are welcome! 

 

7:30* – 8PM (Mainstage) –Touratech Rally Raffle

* 15 minutes after the slow race. If you turned in your raffle tickets be in front of the stage and win something awesome!

 

8 – 10PM (Mainstage) –Saturday Night Party 

DJ ADV Takes requests and rocks the house!

Please take your trash (tires too) to the dumpster. Pack for departure and ride carefully.

 

All riders must be off premises by 1PM.
